Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters
Blues

Ronnie Earl may be the most versatile guitarist in blues today. The Boston Phoenix claims "there hasn't been a blues artist able to make the worlds of jazz and blues meet as gracefully as Earl since swing king T-Bone Walker's 40s and 50s creative peak."

Ronnie Earl and his group, (Bruce Katz (keys), Rod Carey (b) and Per Hanson (dm)), perform their own blend of blues, jazz, gospel and pop. The group's current CD, "Grateful Heart" on Rounder, has been chosen Best Blues Album of the Year by Downbeat Magazine's 1996 Critic's Poll.

"Ronnie Earl is one of the most innovative blues guitarists recording today." -- Downbeat

"Perhaps the finest living blues guitarist on the planet." -- The Boston Phoenix
