1996 multiple Handy-Award winner, guitarist and singer Coco Montoya cites Albert Collins and John Mayall as his two major blues influences. Montoya, in fact, spent nearly fifteen years on the road with both performers. As a guitarist, Montoya incorpoartes not only traditional blues elements, but his playing is also imbued with many contemporary shadings.
