Soup has played many hundreds of shows (and several cross-country tours) to thousands of fans over the last four years. Though often lumped together with the Phish-wannabees of the "groove" school, the band's sound has grown and developed into a rocking amalgam of Flying Burrito Brothers, Wilco, XTC, and MC5, while maintaining superior danceability.
Soup is currently finishing tracks for their first full-length release on the internationally renowned Chunk label, which will be available in February of '97.
