Crucial influences came from the voices of Mary McCaslin and Cindy Magsen, women whose singing knocked Lucy out, and who continue to influence her style today. Her love of harmonies was sparked by Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons, and the amazing vocal synthesis they produced in their too short collaboration.
