Although few are aware of it, millions of Americans have heard the music of Chuck Leob. The gutarist/composer/producer has played on more than 1,000 sessions for albums, films, TV and jingles; he has composed underscore for soap operas and themes for such programs as the Montel Williams Show, ABC's Gulf War Crisis Special Coverage, for ABC Nightline, CBS News Up to the Minute, PBS Puzzle Words and P-Pals, themes songs for the New York Yankees, The New York Knicks, The Atlanta Braves, ESPN, NCAA College Basketball and special events airing on HBO. Viewers identify CNN's Headline News programs by Chuck's logo music.
After leaving Boston's Berklee School of Music in 1976, Chuck has played and toured with jazz greats Chico Hamilton, Hubert Laws and With Stan Getz. In the mid '80's he joined Step Ahead (Michael Brecker, Mike Manieri, Victor Bailey and Peter Erskine) with whom he toured and recorded 3 albums.
