The Borromeo Sting Quartet (Nicholas Kitchen and Ruggero Allifranchini, violins; Hsin-Yun Huang, viola; and Yeesun Kim, cello), formed in 1989 at the Curtis Institute of Music, has quickly won recognition as one of the most exceptional ensembles of its generation. They have performed on distinguished chamber music series and at festivals throughout the US and the world. The Quartet is on the faculty of New England Conservatory.
