| U n' l Band |
Various
The U n' I Band encompasses two generations of musicians who have lived for many years as part of the same family. Their eclectic range extends from traditional folk songs, spirituals and blues to contemporary music including original compositions by both younger and older band members. Their widely-varied style derives from years of absorbing the spirit of American music through traveling around the country and learning songs from numerous musicians, listening to a vast collection of records, and making music together at home.
The U n' I Band is: Jim Kweskin, Geordie Gude (harmonica and vocal), Samoa Wilson (vocalist), Ray Charles Lyman (electric guitar), Gabriel Peper (guitar and vocal), Rose Guerin (vocalist), and Anthony Guide (guitar, dulcimer, and vocal).
Audiences will hear everything from songs by Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly to U2 and perhaps even an old Jug Band tune. When you come to see the U n' I Band, you never quite know what songs you will hear or who else might suddenly show up onstage. But one thing is for certain: the audience will delight in an exciting blend of voices, instruments, and styles.
