Led by Uruguayan pianist/composer/arranger Eduardo Tancredi, this eight piece ensemble returns with their infectious rythms. The band includes Richard Nant (tp), Masa Ikeda (tb), Douglas yates (as), Donny McCaslin (ts), Fernando Huergo (b), Steve Langone (dm), and Robert Castillo m(perc). Titilayo Ngwuena folds sound into clever interpretations of jazz standards and original compositions with declaratory, compelling spirit of her voice. A Dorchester native, Ngwenya has performed on stages throughout Boston with her quartet. Her most recent appearance was a sold-out, debut performance at the Regattabar in Cambridge, preceded by a live broadcast on "Jazz with Eric in the Evening" on GBH/89.7fm.
