Hip-hop soulster Link gained a contract with Relativity Records after he wrote the Top Five hit "My Body" for LSG, the R&B supergroup formed by Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat, and Johnny Gill. Born Lincoln Browder in Dallas, Link was active in gospel choirs and formed his own a cappella group while still a teenager. He was later recruited by R&B impresario Darrell "Delite" Allamby for a quartet named Prot‚g‚; when the group split up, Link kept working with {|Allamby|}. The duo wrote several songs with collaborator Antoinette Roberson, including "My Body," and when LSG began searching for a lead single, they looked no further. The track became a sizable hit, and, soon enough, Link debuted with his own recording, 1998's Sex Down. He also wrote tracks for Silk and Kut Klose, plus Levert and Gill's solo careers. John Bush
