The East Coast`s most original & energetic grunge/punk/rock band. Inspired by classic bands such as Nirvana, Aerosmith, Soundgarden, the Sex Pistols and the Pixies, the sound of Broken Messiah blends hard rock, punk, and melodic electric, acoustic and instrumental sounds into a distinctive sound and style heard nowhere else.
Look for Broken Messiah on the immensely popular CD release "Angels Bleed: Songs of Tribute From Seattle and Beyond", available at Tower Records and selected underground stores near you. Their track, "The Recovery Song", has been reviewed in music papers from Seattle to New York City, and has been hailed as "the closest here to the real thing".
Currently, Broken Messiah is in the process of putting the finishing touches on their long-awaited debut record, "Temporarily Happy"; including "The Recovery Song" as well as new material such as "Sold Out"; "Mild Discomfort"; and "Sometimes I`m Happy". Look for it in the fall of 1997 on CD, Vinyl, & Cassette, self-released and distributed. The band is also seeking live gigs to promote the record and to raise funds for their upcoming 1998 overseas tour.
Broken Messiah is: Kurt Draven, 20; vocals & guitars; Chord Tidwell, 18; bass, guitars & backing vocals; and the Ever-Mysterious D.; drums & percussion.
