James Eisener is a tenor, guitarist and lutenist. Active on the Scottish and English folk scenes in the late 1970's and early 1980's, first solo and then with unaccompanied harmony group English Tapestry, he then trained in classical guitar and Rennaisance and classical song. He is thus one of the very few performers equally at home in singing from the middle ages to the present day, both classical and traditional, and is almost unique in being able to accompany himself music of all these periods and styles.
