Flutist Deborah Nathan Charness has performed as a soloist throughout the United States, Europe, including appearances at the Salzburg Music Festival and with the Boston Pops. A student of Jean Pierre Rampal when she lived in Paris, she was featured in Eric Rohmer's films "Percival" and "The Aviator's Wife." She is a founding member of Newton Bibliophonic, which has performed at Library benefits.
Pianist Michael Charness debuted at the Gardner Museum, followed by recitals with his wife, Deborah, throughout North America and France. He has performed chamber music with The Academy Consort in San Diego, New York, Washington, San Fransicro and Boston and with Newton Bibliophonic.
Twelve year old Sarah Ilana Charness studies violin at the New England Conservatory and has performed with chamber groups at the Stow Music Festival and in the Greater Boston area. Nine year old Daniel Nathan Charness studies cello with Nancy Hair. Seven year old Jennifer Rachel Charnes studies violin with Jan Riggs.
