Already on the fast track to international auccess, Stringer is a master of music candidate in opera performance at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. In 1994, he founded the New England Spiritual Ensemble - the only ensemble in the Boston area perfroming Negro Spirituals exclusively - which is currently completing its second CD. Recently, he returned from a critically acclaimed stint performing with Peter Sellars in Paris and Frankfurt. He has already been cast in the new Philip Glass opera, The White Raven, scheduled to run in Portugal beginning in the fall of 1998/ Locally, his performances of Schubert's Die Winterreise with renowned pianist Victor Rosenbaum met with rave reviews from both audiences and critics alike.
