Ronnie Earl

Music - Live

Ronnie Earl is one of the best blues guitarists ever to emerge from the Boston area. He is the smoothest, fluid blues guitarist who can crunch out big Texas riffs. Ronnie Earl has travelled the world playing his potent brand of blues. In the summer of '96, in fact, he was support act for Santana and George Benson. His nickname "Mr. Intensity" was given to him as a result of the conviction and passion he puts into every note.

Getting his start playing in a band with Sugar Ray Norcia, Ronnie soon moved on to replace his friend Duke Robillard in Roomful of Blues. He quickly developed a fluid playing style that paid tribute to his heroes Magic Sam, T-Bone Walker and Earl Hooker. After releasing several albums with Roomful, he decided to concentrate on a solo career, eventually focusing on soulful jazz-blues.
