Alloy Orchestra Performs Live!
The 3-man Alloy Orchestra specializes in writing and performing original music to accompany classic silent films. For the last 5 years, the group has toured the world delighting audiences with their unique sound and dynamic performances. Based in Boston, this internationally acclaimed ensemble debuted their first score for Fritz Lang's Metropolis at The Coolidge. Their recent performance at New York's Lincoln Center for Dziga Vertovs Man with a Movie Camera, was described by Village Voice critic J. Hoberman as "a once in a life time experience . . . surpassing all expectations."

A futuristic vision of the modern city and its oppressive mechanized society. Metropolis features spectacular sets and a wildly imaginative plot. Underground factory workers toil around the clock while above, the upper classes frolic in luxury. Through the machinations of a mad scientist the rulers attempt to stifle a workers' revolt.
