Synopsis: On July 16, 1945, the nuclear age was born when the United States detonated the world's first atomic bomb. Robert Oppenheimer was the person most instrumental in its creation at the Los Alamos laboratories in New Mexico. In the years following World War II, he advocated limits be put on atomic weapon technology, a brief that resulted in Oppenheimer's fall from grace in the McCarthy era. A Blue Ribbon winner at the American Film Festival.
