South Shore based Shy Tuna was formed (reformed) March 1996 with the objective of becoming a "fun" alternative/rock cover band. They have quickly achieved this goal and have become one of the area's hottest alternative rock cover bands.
Shy Tuna covers songs in the style of that which can currently be heard on WBCN and WFNX (the Cure, Live, Green Day, STP, Violent Femmes, etc.), as well as a couple of popular '70 or '80s hits usually "thrown in for good measure." Original songs are soon to be sprinkled among their sets.
Do yourself a favor and check these guys out. There are other fish in the sea, but this one's sure to get you hooked.
