Performing nationally now for almost four years, Maria Sangiolo's young, but critically acclaimed career continues to enhance Boston's reputation as a breeding ground for some of the nation's best new singer-songwriters. In fact, she was recently nominated for a Boston Music Award.
Often compared to such luminaries as Joan Baez and Judy Collins, Maria has a style and sound that is very much her own. She writes about the human experience, allowing the listener to enter her world while she intimately unfolds the workings of her heart.
