Relatively unknown in Boston, Milo Z is a hugely successful New York band with a large fanatical following and automatic comparisons to Kool & The Gang, P-Funk, War, Sly Stone and Prince. The group applies a hip-hop spin to the lexicon of James Brown and also summons up thoughts of Brand New Heavies and te Groove Collective. They have frequently opened up for The Meters and The Neville Brothers and at times they almost stole the show.
