Music - Live
The much honored keyboard master, Keith Jarrett, formed a trio with bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Jack DeJohnette in 1983. He called it 'Standards' because it presented American songs of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. When the trio reunited at Jordan Hall in October of 1995, the concert sold out in just a few weeks.
Since then, Mr. Jarrett has been named Pianist of the Year in both Downbeat Readers' and Critics' Polls, and his 6-CD boxed set, Live at the Blue Note, was named Album of the Year in the Downbeat Critics' Poll.
