Synopsis
Frit's Lang's liberal realization of Grahan Green's novel is a taut, atmospheric thriller set in wartime London. By chance, Milland unwittingly pronounces a secret code word that hopelessly enmeshes him in a clash between a Nazi espionage ring and the police.
