Shaft is an original, heavy, melodic "Alternative" rock band from Westford, Massachusettts. Consisting of members Brian Joyce on drums, Brian Marcinkowski bass, Jon Chaisson vocals, and Jay Fridrich on guitars, Shaft maintains a balance between heavy guitars, soaring melodic vocal lines, meaningful lyrics and incredible energy. Shaft was officially formed in October 1996 and has since recorded a two song demo at Fort Apache Studios in Cambridge, MA. Shaft has also played regularly at various clubs including Caf‚ Savoie, Sharky's, and The Club. Expect a 7 song EP entitled Withdrawal by the end of the year.
