Synopsis
Truly experimental documentary, Dziga Vertov's masterpiece notably exemplifies the montage of the Societ avant-garde of the 1920's, juxtaposing shots quickly and presenting sped-up and slowed-down action. Using his own concept of the "kino eye" - the cinema's eye which illuminates the real world as not ordinarily seen - Vertov creates a city symphony depicting a day inthe life of an urban metropolis.
