Synopsis
This highly influential documentary thriller, shot on location in New York's teeming streets, claimed to be givig an impression of city life; actually its real mission was to tell an ordinary murder tale with an accumilation of detail and humor. The narrator's last words have become a cliche: "There are eight million stories in the naked city. This has been one of them."
