Synopsis
The history of radio traces the radical changes brought to American society by the introduction of radio and shows how this revolutionaly technology made America a land of listners. The film examines the lives of the three men responsible for the development of radio: Lee deForest, Edwin Howard Armstrong, and David Sarnoff. Their story is one of genious, invention, and determination along side greed, envy, and genuine tragedy. Narrated by Jason Robards. Directed by Ken Burns
