Chamber music composed and performed by indie-rockers may sound like a bit of a contradiction, but this group of excellent musicians pull it off with flair. The Rachel's offer a sublime mixture of visual context and musical content that surpasses most other acts working today. The touring band includes members of such influential bands as Rodan and Shellac and features viola, cello, drums, bass, guitar, clarinet, and piano. Their live shows consist of music from each of their albums, heavy improvisation, tape manipulation and films made by the band.
