Synopsis
Samuel L. Jackson produces and acts in this Southern tale of family, fidelity and superstition set in the Louisiana Bayou. Jackson is a respected town doctor who specializes in the ailments of troubled women. Lynn Whitfield plays his long-suffering wife, and Jurnee Smollett is Eve, the ten year old girl who serves as the story's narrator.
