Our Music: The Fritters are a 6-piece Country and Western Swing band. We perform lesser-known 50's and 60's tunes by artists like George Jones, Buck Owens, Jean Shepard, Rose Maddox, Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker, the Louvin Bros., Charlie Feathers, and others. We've been together for over two years, and are available for all types of events and parties.
Who We Are:
Betsy Nichols, lead vocals: also DJ's at WMBR Radio Station;
Tim Obetz, pedal steel guitar: also plays steel with Buttercup (pop), Lincoln `65 (roots rock), and The Pineapple Ranch Hands (Hawaiian); Phil Mahoney, lead guitar: formerly in Rodentt (lounge), currently plays with The Corn Lords (pop); Jim Buni, rhythm guitar: also lead guitarist, singer and songwriter for Surefire recording artists Buttercup (pop); Howard Kamentsky, bass: also guitarist, vocalist with Transgressions (pop/punk); Arthur Johnson, drums: former drummer with Matador recording artists Come (rock)
