Adapted by Sandy Wench from a novel by Ruth Rendell, the suspenseful BBC miniseries A Dark Adapted Eye is a tale of two sisters, which unfolds over a period of 20 years and culminates in the investigation of a long-ago murder. Or was it murder? Celia Imrie is cast as Vera, the obsessive elder sister, while Sophie Ward plays Eden, the manipulative younger sister.
