Originally airing from 1980 to 1988, the CBS action-mystery series Magnum PI details the adventures of Thomas Sullivan Magnum, played by Tom Selleck. In exchange for acting as the live-in security at the home of affluent writer Robin Masters (voiced by Orson Welles), Magnum is free to take advantage of all of the luxuries the estate has to offer. With Masters constantly away, Magnum is left to hold down the fort with strict butler Higgins (John Hillerman). Somehow, the two always seem to find themselves embroiled in new mysteries. In this particular episode, Magnum PI: Murder 101, Magnum teaches a college course on investigating and ends up leading his students into a hands-on project when it's revealed that a student's fianc‚ is in danger.
