Director Efim Gribov transforms a clasic immigrant's tale into a magical mystery tour as seen through the eyes of an 11-year old boy. Motl's childlike sense of wonder grows daily as he and his family make their tragic-comic, at times surreal, way from the shtetl to America, loaded down by al their worldly and other-worldly baggage.
