The Coolidge and Mass College of Art are proud to present the program curated by M.M. Serra COMING TO POWER: SEXUALLY EXPLICIT FILMS BY WOMEN
(A Survey covering 25 years of film)
M.M. Serra is a film/videomaker who has produced, directed and edited over fourteen works. Serra's films have been screened at teh Museum of Modern Art, New York; Anthology Film Archives, New York; National Film Theatre, London; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; as well as a number of film festivals all over the world. Serra is the executive director of the Filmmakers Cooperative, the oldest and largest artist-run distributor of experimental, independently produced cinema in the world. This two-hour program creates both the historical context for female erotic work, and a contemporary forum for further sexual film art by women.
