Synopsis:
In acknowledgment of the passing of poet, activist, photographer, and all around liberating spirit Allen Ginsberg, we present filmmaker Jerry Aronson's 1993 documentary portrait. For over 10 years, Aronson accumulated 100 hours of film chronicling Ginsberg's life, uncluding previously unseed material from Ginsberg's archive. The film features exclsusive interviews with Ginsberg's contemporaries such as William S. Burroughs, Ken Kesey, Jack Kerouac, Abbie Hoffman, Timothy Leary, and William F. Buckley, whose collective voices and images lay bare the essance of the poet, therby making the film as unique as Ginsberg's own unflinching view of the world.
