Synopsis
Bill August's Jerusalem is the official Swedish entry for the Acadamy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The epic story concerns the arrival of a prophetic, charismatic preacher in a small Swedish village. As converted villagers prepare to sacrifice their livelihoods and move to a more Holy land, the destiny of two young lovers hangs in the balance.
