Synopsis
A documentary about the premiere of Kartheinz Stockhausen's original work for four helicopters and a string quartet. In June 1995, this strange piece had its world premiere at the Holland Festival, in which the four members of the Arditi String Quartet each went up in a separate helicopter to the auditorium where Stockhausen, like a true magician, mixed the sounds of both the helicopters with that of the musicians on the spot. The images of the composition's performance, are juxtapopsed with shots of the perparation, rehersal, and interviews with Stockhausen.
