Karen Aqua, one of the area's finest animation artists, will present the New England premiere of her eigth film. Inspired and conceived during the artist's 11-month residency in New Mexico, this film explores the strange cultural juxtaposition inherent in southcentral New Mexico's being the site of both an ancient Ameican petroglyph and the first atomic bomb blast. The artist will also show slides and provide commentary relating to the film's creation as well as show five earlier films: Penetralia, Vis-a-vis, Nine Lives, Kakania and Perpetual Motion.
