Synopsis
Based on Stephen King's debut novel this horror outing chronicles the vengeance of a teenage outcast (Sissy Spacek) who suddenly discovers herself endowed with telekinetic powers that allow her to move objects with her mind. Slight and wall-flowery Carrie lives a terrible life with a hyper-religious man-hating mother who teaches her to believe her body and its natural functions are filthy in the eyes of God. At school, Carrie is teased and tormented by the popular girls. When the in-crowd goes too far and makes Carrie the butt of a horrific practical joke at the school
prom, something inside her snaps and she uses her awesome newfound powers to vent her pent-up internal rage.
