Synopsis
Though this is an animated feature, The Professional features considerable graphic violence, nudity and nearly soft-core sex as it tells the noirish tale of Golgo 13, a souless master hitman who will kill anyone for the right price. Golgo is the perfect assassin and always gets his man or woman. In the beginning, he is seen kill a Texas oil tycoon's son. Next he goes to Sicily in search of a notorious Mafioso. He ends up sleeping with her and only afterward does he discover that she is the one marked for death. Never allowing emotion to cloud his duty, Golgo murders her and her bodyguard. Not long after that, he discovers that he has become the hunted and at the request of the vengeful oil baron, his three most fearsome peers and the world's most powerful government secret services have gathered together to do the deed. The film is also known as The Professional: Golgo 13 and Golgo 13. Containing innovative
computer graphics and exceptional animation, The Professional was originally released in Japan by filmmaker Osamu Dezaki in the early '80s. A dubbed version with voice direction by Carl Macek was released in 1992.
