This 1961 Best Picture Oscar winner stars the luminous Natalie Wood as Maria, a modern day Juliet, and Richard Beymer as Tony, her Romeo. Caught in the middle of the gang rivalry between Tony's Jets and her brother's Sharks, Maria learns the hard way about ethnic tension. Featured in the Leonard Bernstein score are the memorable songs "Tonight , Feel Pretty" and "Somewhere." Marni Nixon is also featured as the singing voice of Maria.
