Synopsis
Fifty years after the Holocaust, the world allowed another genocide to take place. This time in Rwanda - where the "blood was flowing like a river," and after which, "Rwandans will never again be the same." Shot over three years, this three-part documentary tells the stories of several Rwandans before, during, and after the genocide that took place April 1994, examining how and why the international community, including the United States, sat by and watched as 800, 000 Tutsi men, women and children were massacted right before the eyes of UN peace keepers? Today, Rwanda remains torn by the ethnic killings and continuing murderous violence, while the nations of the world maintain their silence.
