Kickboxing champion Don "The Dragon" Wilson stars in Bloodfist, even though he's way down at the bottom of the official cast list. In time-honored fashion, Wilson arrives in Manila to investigate his brother's murder. Right on cue, he stumbles upon a sinister secret society which thrives on illegal kickboxing tournaments. And, just as you knew he would, Wilson ends up in the ring himself, literally fighting for his life. Predictable, yes, but Bloodfist contains some of the best martial-arts footage ever captured on film (though the photography leans towards the grainy in some scenes). Evidently, the film picked up a huge fan following, else why would the producers have churned out five sequels? Hal Erickson
