Synopsis: Wenders' elaborate globe-hopping adventure is part road movie and part fantasy travelogue. The film begins as a detective-adventure story, focusing on a young decandent, two bank robbers, and a handsome stranger with a price on his head. Its the fugitive who holds what becomes the motivating object of the story - a device for letting blind people see and the images of dreams to be recorded, and viewed. The soundtrack features music by Lou Reed, Patti Smith, U2, and Talking Heads.
