New British Cinema

The recent Venice Film Festival presented what they called "The Rebirth of British Cinema." Indeed, there is a clear resurgence of quality films being produced in Great Britain in the past year. This series offers first Boston Screenings of six features. Included are Carine Adler's fabulously written and performed debut feature, Under the Skin, about a young working class woman careening out of control, and Stephen Whittaker's Stone, Scissors, Paper, a love story with a twist starring Juliet Stevenson.
